Analyze maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancements of Company’s
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for pipeline and terminal operations. Assist with the planning, budgeting, technology enhancements, downs response, troubleshooting, customer satisfaction and system performance. Enthusiastically engage with internal and external customers to deliver superior capability and value.
• Provide pipeline support and terminal projects with automation design, equipment specifications, PLC logic development, and operational training for implementation.
• Work closely with pipeline and terminal operations to improve operations and support the business initiatives.
• Implement SCADA modifications to support system changes.
• Understand pertinent compliance requirements for remote pipeline operations.
• Help develop/own Automation Technical Guidelines and other field automation related documents.
• Maintain superior level of network and system performance in line with local and corporate business objectives. Ensure quick response to pipeline issues, demonstrate ability to optimize resources, as well as perform risk/benefit analysis.
• Develops process for and guides team through accurate and timely root cause analysis of SCADA system issues.
• Identify opportunities for applying the SCADA and Automation capabilities to add value to the business and operations.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required; Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years SCADA experience; pipeline industry preferred.
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Service Engineer) preferred.
• Direct experience with enterprise level computer hardware and advanced software optimization and implementation.
• Strong analytical, organization, planning and leadership skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills and able to deal concurrently with a variety of projects and issues.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills.
• Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn.
• Must live or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of the reporting location.
