Job Description: The Operations Manager is responsible for operations, optimization, maintenance, and reliability of the terminals. This includes supervision and development of
terminal employees and control center operators. The Operations Manager is also directly responsible for safety of personnel, protection of the environment, and prevention of damage
to systems and equipment through continual promotion of safe work practices and procedures.
• Supervises/manages terminal and control center operators and the Maintenance Supervisor and supports them in achieving asset goals and objectives.
• Prepares and recommends annual operating budget and is responsible for cost containment measures.
• Reviews and analyzes various operating data to identify areas of lost opportunity as well as opportunities to increase reliability, optimize operations and lower operating costs.
• Works closely with Operations to maximize the profitability of the terminals and system.
• Ensures there is an organized program to minimize downtime, maintains and operates assets with
a high level of integrity and reliability.
• Work closely to understand our customer’s expectations and leads the team to meet those expectations with compliant and efficient operations.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA and other applicable regulations and other industry standards i.e. API etc.
• Oversees the planning and scheduling of maintenance projects and other instrumentation and/or equipment calibrations.
• Responsibility for employee development, compensation reviews and maintaining a team participation environment for all direct reports.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience managing and directing a workforce and managing a facility budget.
• Five or more years of terminal or plant operations experience preferred.
• Must have strong organizational skills and able to deal concurrently with a variety of projects and issues.
• Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance applicable to the Crude Oil Industry.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills.
• Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to
learn.
• Must live or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of the reporting location.
